Let Season 2010 Begin
The Mustangs commence season 2010
in a new division with a new coach and a new captain. The much anticipated
commencement of season 2010 kicks off on Sunday 18 April away against
Marcellin.
The appointment of
playing coach Craig Mackay sees the dawn of a new era. Mackay is a fitness
fanatic and his pre-season campaign has involved many arduos sessions that will
have the Mustangs primed for season 2010.
With many new faces joining the club, 2010
also sadly says goodbye to some loyal servants. Congratulations to Scott Ryan on
his appointment as captain of the Supers team. Ryan will be ably assisted by a
leadership group of three Vice-captains, including Kane Obrien, Chris Skiba and
John Haddad.
With new structures in place and a focus on hard running,
the Mustangs welcome 2010 with bright expectations. The step-up to Division 1
will be a significant challenge, however Coach Craig Mackay is optimistic about
his teams prospects, "At the Mustangs we will be focussing on being team
oriented and driven for success. Our training has revolved around an increase in
running and getting numbers to contests. All will be revealed in Round 1 against
Marcellin, when we have a crack at our first game".
